One Owner Back Cove Downeast 37 Motor Yacht – ADINA … The ultimate entertainer!

Back Cove built a limited production run of the awesome Downeast 37 model and only two came to Australia. This example, hull number 017 was commissioned and delivered new by us in 2016 and has had little use and excellent care by her original owners. ADINA is now seriously for sale and ready for summer.

Her Flag Blue hull was resprayed in Awlgrip Two Pack in 2023 and gleams with a mirror finish that is blemish free and showcases her vivid red boot stripe and 23 carat gold cove stripe in classic and timelessly elegant style. Her bold and powerful Deep V hull planes easily at 10 knots and will cruise efficiently at 22 knots powered by a single Cummins QSC 8.3 600hp electronic diesel.

Conceived and designed by the Back Cove Yachts design team to showcase her Downeast working lobster boat heritage with beautiful yacht finishes.

Her single-level, massive cockpit, runs from the transom door to the cabin companionway. Elevated forward facing seating ensures unobstructed 360 degree views for all passengers and guests and Stidd helm chair for the captain provides unequalled support, comfort and quality.  To port a long settee converts from an aft facing L-settee to a cozy mate’s lounge which can seat two while underway. An elegant inlaid table can be lowered to form an additional sleeping accommodation or a comfortable lounge.

Entering the cabin, one is immediately struck by a sense of space and openness, and the very elegant Herreshoff style with white panels and cherry hardwood trims. Air and light flow from three overhead hatches and three portlights. Deck hatches are fitted with shades and screens.
Forward is an island bed with multiple drawers and bulk storage below. Alongside the berth are convenient shelves with storage lockers offering large spaces for personal items. To port is a hanging locker with drawers and to starboard a cedar lined hanging locker. On the port side locker face is a charging station for all of today’s devices that seem to follow us wherever we go. A privacy curtain can be used to section off this part of the cabin.

Her galley is fitted with a solid surface countertop, large stainless steel sink, convection microwave and a combination stainless steel fridge /freezer. Many drawers and lockers are available for storing galley necessities. For longer cruises, a huge storage space for additional galley supplies is located aft of the galley and accessible through the mates seat. An additional fridge and an icemaker are located in the cockpit settees.

Her head unit offers a fully enclosed shower stall, a fresh water flush MSD, a solid surface countertop and a timber-framed mirror above the stainless steel sink. The head door has a full length mirror on it’s interior face.

ADINA must be seen to be appreciated. She is in superb condition throughout and is easily maintained and ready to be enjoyed by her next owners!
